Sales Policy
Created August 12, 2007

Please read this policy carefully before purchasing one of my goats. It is important to me that, both goats and new owner will be happy together. After reading this policy, email me at playritefarm@yahoo.com  to discuss purchasing plans. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I cannot promise show winners or star milkers, but I believe I've found some really nice animals, so you, the buyer, should be able to compete with a smile.

When you decide to purchase one of my goats, a $100 non-refundable deposit will hold your goat for 30 days, unless it is a new born kid. In that case the kid must stay with the mother until it reaches 8 weeks of age( with the exception of bottle babies as requested when reserving). The deposit will help get your goat(s) ready for departure.
I will accept a personal check for the deposit and consider the animal sold as soon as the check clears the bank. Full payment,  is due at the time of pick up.  If you have not made additional arrangements after exceeding the 30 day period, there will be a $2 per day boarding charge added to the remainder of the amount due.

Your money will be refunded in the event of death, illness or injury of the animal that you have agreed to purchase while it is still on my farm. I reserve the right to change my mind and retain any or all of the animals I have listed for sale. I also reserve the right to change prices until I receive a deposit with a purchase agreement on an animal.

If you reserve a kid from the breeding schedule, remember I reserve to first choice of any animal born on my  farm.   If the kids you desired was not born,  you can apply your deposit to another kid or goat listed for sale.

I will provide registration certificates, OR applications for AGS. Registration
applications for,  ADGA and NDGA, can also be provided upon request.  I can get your goats micro chipped for an additional fee.

The following 4H and FFA discounts are also available:.

4H and FFA may purchase wethers at  further reduced prices. You will be required to pay for registration and health certificates, if needed for out of state travel, as well as be responsible for all transportation.
If you desire a Jr. or Sr. doe, provided one is available for sale. A discount  may be agreed upon or a  wether at a reduced price, as companion.
4H and FFA  are requested to keep me posted of all show wins, for animals purchased from my farm

Nebraska is a certified accredited free Brucellosis and TB state. I tested my entire breeding stock August 6, 2007  for CAE, Brucellosis, TB, and Johne's. All goats have tested negative. I plan on maintaining a closed herd. Any animal that I purchase will be coming from a strictly tested herd.

I am part of the Nebraska Scrapie Eradication program.  # NEPR21

I guarantee that my animals are free of defects and are healthy when they leave my farm. Or if they have defects they will be advertised as pet quality does or wethers.  I do not know what sort of environment these goats will be exposed to when they leave my farm, so no further guarantee will be given.  All animals leaving the state will require health certificates before leaving my farm. The health certificate  is the responsibility of the buyer, an additional $50 will be added to each animal purchased. Any additional testing requested will be at the buyer’s expense. Arrangements, with my vet must be made before the tests will be run.

Transportation

The transportation of the goats is up to you. You are also responsible for the cost of a crate. All shipping arrangements must be made by the buyer.  We can deliver to Eppley Air Field in Omaha, NE. There will be an additional fee (adjusted for gas prices) for the 265 mile round trip.. We may be able to work out other ways to help you with transportation.

Kids will be given a shot of Vitamin B12 to boost their immune systems.  I will also give  a dose of Probios to help keep the rumen working.  All goats will be currents on worming, hoof trimming, and vaccinations. I will also disbudd, and tattoo all animals sold.
